Chamber Choir:

Chamber Choir is an auditioned group only open to rising freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors. Chamber Choir is a college preparatory ensemble designed to teach advanced vocal technique and music reading skills while introducing students to standard choral literature. This ensemble is filled with  strong, intelligent, compassionate, expressive individuals with class and poise who consistently conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Auditions will take place in April of the previous year. It is strongly advised that if you are interested in auditioning for this group, you have first completed a year of choral study in Concert Choir. This ensemble will perform competitively graded repertoire such as madrigals, unaccompanied octavos, vocal jazz, world music, and more.

Students enrolled in Chamber Choir  will be required to compete and attend rehearsals, competitions, and performances “outside of class time.” This ensemble will be traveling locally, regionally, and nationally depending upon the circumstances each year.  Students are provided with many opportunities to fundraise to pay for their financial obligations. Students should not audition for this ensemble if they and their parent/guardian are not privy to and able to adhere to all associated obligations.
